Let's find Vermont Mushrooms
🍄✨ I'm going — and I need YOUR help! :) The North American Mycological Association (NAMA)'s annual foray is the mushroom bioblitz of the year for us Fungi Nerds. And this time, it's at Potash Hill in Marlboro, Vermont, September 11–14, 2025.
Hi friends! I'm Laura, also known as Mushroom Yogi, the fungi-loving human behind MushroomPerson.com. Thanks to some clever airline points, I've already booked my flight to Vermont—woohoo! Now, I’m reaching out for help covering the rest: registration, a rental car, lodging, snacks (maybe a maple latte or two), and a sitter for my dog Uma.
Last year, your kindness sent me to the 2024 Telluride Mushroom Festival—double rainbows and all. That joy still fills me, and I’m building on that magic now with this next big step: NAMA 2025!
I've been chasing mushrooms for 20+ years, from my first morel on a lunch break to countless hikes with dog Uma through Appalachia, camera in hand and boots caked in mud. I’ve even made mushroom tarot cards and comics to help fund this quirky passion. I'm not in it for psychedelics: I'm just that nerd who thinks fungi are beautiful and important.
This conference connects me with fellow mushroom lovers and the latest in fungal science. It’s a chance to learn, laugh, and connect with my peers nationally, and I don’t want to miss it.
If you're able to chip in a little $, I’ll be beyond grateful. Every dollar gets me closer to the woods of Vermont and the myco-family I’m lucky to be part of.

Let’s keep the spore story going. Thank you, truly. 🍄💛
